Day 1: Arrival and transfer hotel
Arrival in Tunis and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Medina, market and Bardo Museum
Tunis. Visit of the medina, mosques, the market. Visit of the Bardo Museum.
Day 3: At the heart of the country's history
Steps: Carthage, Sidi Bou Saïd, La Marsa
Marsa, Carthage, Sidi Bou Saïd, night in Sidi Bou Saïd (widely advised) or in Tunis.
Day 4: Detour to Bizerte
Steps: Tabarka, Tunis, Bizerte
Bizerte. Visit of the old port, the medina, beaches. Night in Bizerte.
Day 6: Hike in the mountains of Aïn Draham
Steps: Tabarka, Aïn Draham
After a walk in the city, direction Les Aiguilles beach and the afternoon hiking in the mountains of Aïn Draham.
LES AIGUILLES
Day 7: Relaxation in Hammamet
Steps: Tabarka, Tunis, Hammamet
Hammamet. Visit of the medina, the villa Sebastian, beaches and idleness.
Day 8: Culture or idleness in Sousse
Steps: Tabarka, Makhtar, Sousse, Tunis, Port El Kantaoui
Sousse. Visit the medina, the ribat. Museums or beaches. Dinner in the marina of Port el Kantaoui. Night in Sousse.
Day 9: In search of the Romans
Steps: Monastir, Tunis, El Jem, Kairouan, Sfax, Îles Kerkennah
Early in the morning, departure for Kairouan to visit the great mosque and the medina, then El Jem and its Roman coliseum. Spend the afternoon in Sfax and visit its lively medina and finally, join the Kerkennah Islands by ferry.
Day 10: Day trip to the island of Kerkennah,
Steps: Kasserine
Day in Kerkennah, tour of the island, its Roman and Phoenician remains, ride in a felucca for fishing. Night in Kerkennah.
Day 11: Arrival in Gabes and its ancient hammams
Direction Gabes, the only oasis of the country to be on the sea. Visit of the ancient hammams and the palm grove. Night in Gabes.
Day 12: Discovery of the legendary train
Departure for Metlaoui to take the Red Lizard and browse the mountain oasis. Night in Tozeur.
Day 13: Palmeraie and zoo are on the menu of the passage to Tozeur
Visit of the medina of Tozeur, its palm grove and its zoo. Horseback riding for the sunset. Night in Tozeur.
Day 14: A true desert oasis
Steps: Nefta, Chott El Djérid, Douz
Direction the oasis of Nefta and his basket then crossed the Chott el-Djérid towards Douz. Night in Douz.
Day 15: The market for animals
Steps: Douz
Early in the morning, the animal market if you are on Thursday. Visit of Douz. Either take an excursion in slug for a few hours or leave in the afternoon (it is very well organised by agencies) for a stay in the desert.
Day 16: Excursion to slug and night to beautiful star
Steps: Ksar Ghilane, Matmata
If one preferred the first option, go to Ksar Ghilane. Sleep in a beautiful star camp and join Matmata the next day.
Day 17: Visit of the surprising city of Matmata
Steps: Matmata
Visit Matmata. The village is forty kilometers southwest of Gabès. Hanging on the mountain side, at 600 meters above sea level, the village had 2,116 inhabitants in 2004. It is renowned for its remarkable troglodytic houses which make it one of the highest places in Tunisian tourism.
Day 18: Matmata and his cave
Visit of the city and cave houses. Night in a cave hotel.
Day 19: Djerba and his heritage
Steps: Erriadh, Houmt Souk
Djerba. Visit of Houmt-Souk and the Ghriba synagogue.
Day 20: The impressive marine cemetery of Mahdia
Mahdia. Visit of the medina and the marine cemetery. Night in Mahdia.

Return to Tunis.
