Museum on the Manufacture's premises, featuring a unique collection combining artistic, historical and technical approaches.

Located against the factory founded in 1821, the Musée de la Faïencerie retraces the historical know-how of this activity. The museography includes rare documents and objects, plates and services with coats of arms, as well as monumental pieces that have made, and still make, the reputation of the town of Gien. The decorations are all made by hand, so you can discover the infinitely precise gestures performed by these workers and soak up the blue of Gien.

Collection exceptionnelle
Une visite "intellectuelle" dans cette faïencerie (méthodes de fabrication, outils,...) avec en permanence la proximité de véritables œuvres d'art (même si la volonté première du fondateur était de faire de la vaisselle pour la cuisine de tous les jours...).
Un guide avenant nous a expliqué les détails de l'art de la faïence, et cela a rajouté à notre satisfaction.
Un bémol : le magasin d'usine, à prix inabordable (pour moi).
