The "Oser la Liberté" exhibition, which brings together archives, works of art and other audio and visual devices in the Panthéon, retraces the perilous history of the fight against slavery in French history. The exhibition reveals how the colonial system of slavery has always aroused resistance and opposition, and how the heroic figures who carried out this long struggle continue to inspire contemporary struggles. It's also an opportunity to look back at the lives of figures now honored at the Pantheon in Paris, such as Toussaint Louverture, Félix Éboué and Joséphine Baker, as well as lesser-known figures like Olympe de Gouges and Julien Raimond.
