A museum that transports you back to 1858, to the heart of a miniature Lourdes that has been entirely reconstructed, to discover the beginnings of the city.

Le Petit Lourdes, open since 1954, offers a unique immersion in the past. This faithful masonry reconstruction of the village of Lourdes in 1858 lets you follow in Bernadette's footsteps and discover the town's history. Surrounded by a garden full of flowers and bonsai trees, you can admire ancient houses, waterways and old mills. This work of art, the fruit of 25 years' dedication by a passionate former railway worker, continues to be maintained by his descendants, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the Lourdes of yesteryear.

I took the lourdes pass for 23 euros and you to see 2 museums for free and thus save plus you get to ride on the little train. The petit lourdes was created by one man's work of 25 yrs. It is a must. You can meet his grandson who runs the meeting lourdes. Amazing seeing one man's work continuing in his grandson Tony who was so humble and inspiring gave us background story of the miracles that took place. I was enthralled. Work of Art! Please visit. I loved it.

Un musée plein de surprises qui vaut réellement le détour, belle découverte, un travail incroyable entretenu par des personnes sympathiques, souriantes et qui prennent le temps de tout nous expliquer nous avons été ébahi par ce petit village miniature mais si réaliste.
Une visite à ne surtout pas manquer !!!!
