One of the official hotels of Legoland with the park nearby, ideal for families for its themed rooms, its heated pool

With the Pirate Island Hotel, it is one of the 2 official hotels of Legoland. With its colorful facade decorated with giant Lego, this hotel will make families happy, especially children! First of all, the rooms are extremely well themed and it is even possible to choose your universe: pirates, Ninja, knight, adventure... Children will even have their own dedicated space! The large heated swimming pool is very fun, it is possible to meet characters and the park is just a few minutes away on foot. The complimentary breakfast is a great way to start the day.

This theme park is a great one for kids and a great one for lego enthusiasts! There are several small kid friendly rides and several larger kid friendly rides. Kids older than 11 may get bored easily as there are not a lot of “thrill” rides. There is a section in the middle of the park that are exact replicas of real life cities (NYC, Vegas, etc) and events (Nascar Racing, shipwrecks, etc). There are amazing builds throughout the park and it is nice how they are placed in normal situations. The interactive map on the app can get confusing and lead you all over the place. The water park is located in the very back of the legoland theme park. The water park has (3) single person water slides, (2) water rides that use floats, a lazy river, a wave pool, and a dump bucket/splash pad area. It is a smaller water park but definitely cools you off after a hot day. Peppa pig land is not in Legoland at all, you actually have to exit and walk a different direction and enter in a separate location. There is a daily search for Mr. Gold pop buttons that are hidden on staff - its like an in park scavenger hunt for all the guests. One to two days is perfect for a visit.

The hotel itself is definitely all about kids as it should be, however, there are key items that are a must. Customer service is lacking from valet to check-in. Valet was rarely there and they did not even assist with the bags for loading, unloading, etc. Valet is not needed and grossly overpriced. We were sent info to check in online & said it processed and it did not. We were not able to check in on the kiosks at the front door and when we went to the front desk we were told multiple times to use the kiosks and we were treated more like a burden to have to assist with check in. We did not get the room type that we selected upon booking, did not get the (2) s’mores packages we paid for, we also were moved to the pirate hotel instead of the main hotel we were originally booked into. No reasoning or apologies just this is what you are getting. The pirate themed room had some stains on the pirate decor blanket (we removed it), grease stains on the wall, odd fluid stains (like an exploded soda) above the window and dust on the drapes. No phones in the rooms to call to the front desk and no room service. Staff did not tell families about the daily “hunt” in the park for Mr. Gold. We were only there for two nights and thought no need to complain because the staff at the hotel clearly did not care anyways given experience at check in. Again these are all things that adults notice & experience and not the kids. The staff also do not tell you at check in that if you purchased anything before hand (picture packages, fast passes, etc) that you have to pick them up at the park upon entering to be accurately prepared for your visit. Also the fire-pit is located quite a ways offsite and not directly at the hotel. Staff did not tell us about the in room scavenger hunt that gives you the code to the in room safe & will also give you a free lego kit.

LegoLand communication is very poor. It takes 5-7 days to get answers from emails, and there is no one that you can call and speak to in regards to purchasing group tickets in advance. You have to email them and wait 5-7 days for a response. Not that is ridiculous. As far as the park goes, I don't know because just trying to get tickets for my group is an entire ordeal. I was looking forward to taking my youth group but now I'm on the fence.

The fact that pepper the pig land loses at4 pm (1 hr prior to reat of park) is Bogus. You Payton see them both then can not make it plus the hours are way too early as well as no working people anywhere at entrances to rides this place is like a carnival. Don't wast your money. Stick to universal or Disney properties.

This place is perfect for kids between 3-12. We have a 6,5,3 and newborn and there was something for them all to do. The lines are never super long and thoroughly enjoy it more than other FL based theme parks. Love that the water park is at the back of the park so once you’re done experiencing Legoland, you can relax at the water park if you have the tickets and the kids aren’t getting wet first thing in the day!

Overall, always a great time here with the kids and they love it. Also highly recommend the resort on site.
