Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem Cathedral, in neo-Gothic style, with superb stained glass windows.

The history of Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem Cathedral began with that of Belo Horizonte. A small chapel, a typical example of Minas Gerais colonial architecture, had existed on this site since the early 18th century. It was on this site that it was decided to build the cathedral, which was completed in 1932. Neo-Gothic in style, the cathedral boasts superb stained-glass windows. Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem is the patron saint of the city of Belo Horizonte.
