A temple conducive to meditation and calm, distinguished by its structure reminiscent of the architecture of the Angkor temples.
Adjacent to the royal gardens, the Wat Ratchapradit is a very small temple, which does not compete with its direct neighbours, but which remains quite pleasant and invites to meditation by the calm that reigns there. Built by Rama IV in 1864, its structure is reminiscent of some of the architectural parts present in the temples of Angkor in Cambodia with a notable Khmer influence. The temple is made of grey marble, including a large Sri Lankan-style stupa, the pasana chedi.
