Imposing cubist block, on the Marjan hill, with rooms highlighting fragments of buildings.
On the Marjan hill, an imposing cubist block, by the architect M. Kauzlarić, houses a huge national archaeological collection from the period between the 7th and 15th centuries. Founded in 1893 in Knin, the collection has been relocated several times, first to Sinj, later to Klis, and then to Split in 1976. In an admirable museology, the rooms display fragments of buildings, statues, sculptures, weapons, objects of daily life and epigraphic monuments.
