Lupa in Latin means prostitute. No need to draw you a picture... This impressive brothel, among the thirty or so brothels that Pompeii had, is spread over two floors: five rooms on the ground floor and five on the first. Linger over the erotic paintings covering the walls of the rooms, whose stone beds were covered with cushions. The prostitutes were usually Greek or Oriental slaves.
