SALTWORKS MUSEUM (BERGBAUMUSEUM)

Several museums can be visited in Hall, this one presents a remarkable small-scale reconstruction of a salt mine explaining the work of the miners and the history of the salt works that made the town famous and rich. Galleries, shafts, drilling machines, slide, the museum gives a good idea of the "inner life of the mines". The white gold that made the town of Hall so rich was mined from 1244 to 1967 in the Halltal valley, 9 km north of Hall.
