July is synonymous with music in Barcelonnette. The capital of Ubaye invites you to two exceptional concerts.

On Saturday July 27, the Parc de la Sapinière will be rocking to the music of CharlElie Couture. On Sunday July 28, Caravan Palace will get the audience swinging at this latest edition of Les Enfants du Jazz.

Al Jarreau, Marcus Miller, Faada Freddy... some of the biggest names on the international scene have played in Barcelonnette and left their mark on the town. For 25 years, the Festival des Enfants du Jazz has celebrated music in all its forms, from the most classical to the most original, becoming Barcelonnette's emblematic cultural event.

For nearly three decades, the capital of Ubaye has vibrated to the sound of young trainees attending a 15-day music campus organized by the Ligue de l'Enseignement. It was a unique and enriching experience for young jazz enthusiasts, who over the years have passed on their love of music to Barcelonnette.

If jazz has transcended cultural boundaries and played an essential role in shaping contemporary music, the legacy of the musical campus also lives on in Barcelonnette, making each and every one of us true Enfants du Jazz.

In 2024, the festival returns in full force with a carefully selected line-up of renowned artists. On Saturday July 27 and Sunday July 28, two exceptional evenings are scheduled, with concerts by CharlElie Couture and Caravan Palace.

With these top-flight artists, Les Enfants du Jazz de Barcelonnette returns to an eclectic musical program.

The Parc de la Sapinière, a unique setting for these concerts, offers a green setting in front of one of the town's most emblematic Mexican villas. Between historical heritage and breathtaking views of majestic mountains, the festival offers you the chance to enjoy open-air music in the heart of the Alpes de Haute-Provence department.
