Hôtel de Caumont - Centre d'Art is delighted to dedicate its summer exhibition to the artist Pierre Bonnard. Bonnard's early interest in the characteristics of Ukiyo-e prints, and the exhibition of Japanese prints at the École des Beaux-arts in the spring of 1890, were a real revelation for him. The discovery of his works is an opportunity to realize the extent to which he perfectly integrated the aesthetics of Japanese art into his practice, creating a break with naturalism and impressionism.
