May is a woman with a passion for cooking who arrived in France in the 1970s. Initially based in Paris, she later moved to La Rochelle, where her family runs more than half a dozen restaurants. In her book "Les recettes de May", she shares her French-inspired recipes revisited in Thai style, such as mussels cooked with Thai basil or entrecôte marinated in sake and ginger. More than just a recipe book, it also paints the portrait of a woman from La Rochelle for whom cooking has been a pillar for overcoming traumas, finding meaning in her life and indulging herself.
