In this exhibition, the Musée de Lodève explores the notion of Imaginaires in the art of tapestry from the 16th century to the present day. It shows how artists seized on myths, fairy tales and their own dreams to create universes that are sometimes figurative, sometimes abstract.
The exhibition, created in partnership with the Mobilier National, also features a contemporary carpet woven in Lodève in the workshop of the famous Savonnerie factory.
