The ghost town' brings together Jean-Luc Navette's latest work. Somewhere between American film noir and the visual and graphic strangeness of David Lynch, these ghostly images immerse us in the dreamlike world of a fantasized town.
A tattoo artist since 2001, Jean-Luc Navette abandoned needles and skin to return to pencil and paper, and now devotes himself solely to drawing, orchestrating a hallucinatory nocturnal parade in his illustrations, where characters with broken hearts and dreams cross paths with disquieting spectral apparitions, zealous ambassadors of the merciless Grim Reaper. Dernier été du vieux monde' and 'Nocturnes', two monographs published by Noire Méduse in 2012 and 2017, reflect this approach. This work on books continues with Editions Banzaï, who will publish in 2020: '... Que le ciel s'ouvre', a facsimile of her sketchbooks, followed in 2023 and 2024 by 'Nous ne sommes qu'un secret' and 'A girl called Mystery', her latest works.
