Ye XingQian's approach is a highly complex involvement in the social and artistic context.
Through his culture and professionalism, he raises all the barriers of material disparity.
His pictorial expression allows us to revisit and explore the possibilities of water, oil and ink.
Whether on rice paper or linen canvas, the artist embraces the serendipity that arises unexpectedly, when the conditions are right.
Is it by chance, or by ancestral knowledge?
The cooperation of her highly mastered calligraphy and the surprises of her liquid mixtures enable her to create veritable lyrical revelations.
Today, Ye XingQian's works have received the highest distinctions.
They have also been acquired by many prestigious museums.
These include the Musée Guimet and Musée Cernuschi in Paris, the Liu Hai Su Museums in Shanghai and the Tianjin Museum of Fine Arts in China.
In 2019, he will be touring Chinese national museums in Shanghai, Tianjin, Fujian, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Guilin and Guangzhou.
Not forgetting, of course, this very large canvas by the artist hanging in the only surviving gate of the wall that stood between the inner city (Tatar) and the outer city (Chinese) south of Tian an men Square."
In February 2025, the Musée Paul Dupuy / Georges Labit will present 6 acquisitions by the artist.
