In the midst of an exceptional geological setting, water, rock and the whole of Toy country have inspired numerous artists.
The contemporary art center "Le Hang-Art" is both a witness to and a transmitter of a new way of looking at art.

Located not far from the highest peaks in the Pyrenees, three renowned artists will be invited to take part in the exhibition:

"Aux Sommets"

Tatjana Labossière

Frédéric Blaimont

and

Pierrot Men

In every case, creating an exhibition program means considering the venue as "unique".
Each space has its own resonance and history.
Whether temporary or permanent, whether contemporary art, ethnography, history or scientific themes, all exhibitions have their own codes, depending on time and space.
That's why we've given this new exhibition a great deal of thought.

Why does Tatjana Labossière's geometric steel collide with Pierrot Men's photographs of Madagascar, and reveal the color of Frédéric Blaimont's canvases?

There was no question of making an "intelo-art-cultural" exhibition.

But as we looked at these three artists, one thing became clear:

A perspective view.

For Tatjana Labossière, her sculptures, like her engravings, are so many encounters and associations of geometric volumes inscribed in the same perspective gaze.
Landscapes structured by faults, with their openings, sometimes even their pyritic excrescences.
The construction of these spaces testifies to the rigor and a certain detachment of great humility in creating a balance that hangs by a thread.
For Frédéric Blaimont, it's a humanistic energy that challenges his perspective, or rather, stimulates us with unusual representations of bodily attitudes.
Sometimes a nose becomes a "PIC" or a "CAP", depending on the point of view.
As the artist so aptly puts it: "I invite you to take a good look at us and at yourself. I want to make visible the invisible of these ordinary people whose banality makes them universal. "
For Pierrot Men, perspective is an insolate and developed vision, to hold on to a moment forever.
Using black and white, but also a few colors, he extracts the very essence of an entire country from the spaces of life.
Without forgetting that each of us possesses this common thread of vision, of the gaze.
On ourselves or on others, near or far, fair or transformed.
But there will always be only one gaze, that of benevolence. At the summits of all these glances and at the summits of all these mountains, you can discover an exceptional range of work by three magnificent artists.
