February 15, 11:00 am: "Apprentice strategists" workshop (8-14 years)
Relive the siege of Toulon in 1793, at Napoleon's side, thanks to a plan-relief of the town and a strategy game using a large map from the museum's archives.
February 19, 11h00: Workshop-game: "Build your citadel with Kapla" (6-14 years)
Discover fortifications and build a citadel or fort with your family, using Kapla wooden blocks.
February 22, 11h00: "In the spirit of Vauban" workshop (8-14 yrs)
Learn how strongholds were built and defended in the time of Louis XIV, by observing relief plans and recreating a siege in the workshop around a large scale model.
February 26, 11:00 am: "Metal map" workshop (6-12 years)
Create a small embossed metal map, in gold or silver, inspired by the late 17th-century model of the famous Mont Saint-Michel.
March 1, 11:00 am: "Citadel times" workshop (7-11 years)
Find out all about the whys and wherefores of citadel construction with the help of the Relief Plan collection, plus the opportunity to create a small model in the workshop to take home.

Learn all about the world's only collection of plan-reliefs, models of fortified sites built between the reigns of Louis XIV and Napoleon III. Follow one of our guides on a tour of France in relief, from Saint-Tropez to Mont Saint-Michel, via the Alps and the Ile de Ré.
