KINGFISHER LODGE

Located in the park of Xe Pian, Écolodge consists of 4 wooden bungalows mounted on piles built from local materials and respecting traditional architecture. KingFisher also offers 4 "écochambres" entirely built in bamboo and wood powered wood. The catering served is traditional and based on local products.

Proposed activities. Many activities are offered to discover the park Xe Pian and the many natural sites surrounding the lodge.

Conservation - Education. The lodge assists in monitoring the park by informing managers of poaching activities or illegal camp installation. The owners are trying to make villagers and tourists aware of the need to preserve cultural and natural heritage.

Minimizing impact. All wastewater is treated by anaerobic filter system tanks, recycling and composting of waste is done as much as possible and electricity comes from solar energy.

Local population. Écolodge works in collaboration with the managers of the park Xe Pian, the villagers and local ngos.

50% of the employees come from the neighbouring village. For activities, the lodge uses the services of the village (guides, elephants, transport).

5% of the benefits are paid to support the village school, and clients are encouraged to donate to school.
