The main feature of this open-air museum is the group of 25 historic buildings that have been transported here from different parts of the region. The ensemble provides a glimpse into the life of Sunnfjord's neighbourhoods in the mid-1800s. The reception building is open all year round and houses a reception, a shop and various exhibitions. In June, July and August, guided tours are organised every day in the old buildings. Outside of any visit, the site is ideal for a picnic and it is possible to take a bath in the lake (Movatnet).
