The fat markets, a popular and gastronomic tradition well anchored in the Landes. From April to October, local producers offer their flagship products directly on the markets: foie gras, whole geese and ducks, gizzards, confits, duck breasts... Among the best known fat markets, head for Dax (Saturday morning, from November to March), Villeneuve-de-Marsan (Wednesday morning, from October to April), Peyrehorade (Wednesday morning, from November to mid-March), Mont-de-Marsan (Tuesday and Saturday morning) or Saint-Sever (Saturday morning).
