CHÂTEAU LUBART (ЗАМОК ЛЮБАРТА)
Built between 1350 and 1430, the castle served as a residence for the sovereigns of Galicia. During Russian domination, the castle's premises were transformed into archives. A great fire flares the city in 1845 and destroyed almost all the churches and monasteries of Lutsk including the castle. Renovation work was carried out only in 1890, but the lack of funding, the two world wars and the little interest that the governors attached to the castle were considérablement the shipyard. The reconstruction of the castle resumed in 1963. Today, the castle has 4 towers and ramparts open to the public.
