FESTIVAL WÉD-BINDÉ
The Sanmatenga traditional music and dance festival of Sanmatenga (first edition in December 2002) is organized in honor of a traditional dance specific to the Northern Region: the wafer, a word that means in moored "horse reed and happy like a Samo with full belly". Dance, exclusively practiced by women, is accompanied by a guitar and calebas. The festival also hosts thirty forgers from Burkina Faso and the subregion, on a dozen forges. They present their traditional know-how to perpetuate this art and promote the forges of the region.
