Deutsche Bahn is the German railway company. It has an excellent network throughout the country.
It is the state-owned railway company. Although the German railway network is open to competition, DB (Deutsche Bahn) remains the most important railway company in Europe after Russia, both in terms of turnover and services. It operates international trains, regional trains and suburban trains (S-Bahn) in the conurbations. The ICE is the equivalent of the SNCF's TGV. There are sales and information points at medium and large stations.
