MISSISSIPPI BLUES TRAIL

Since 2005, the Mississippi Blues Commission has established a number of blue coloured markers (almost 200) in the Mississippi state to indicate sites related to the history of the blues. All of these markers form a virtual circuit that is named Mississippi Blues Trail. Although the Delta region is well represented as a result of the Blues highway (Hwy 61), you will find these signs in all other regions (Hills, Pines, River/Capital and Coast), and even to Memphis. A very practical smartphone application, downloadable on the website, allows you to identify each marker, and to know its accompanying text and location. The website also offers many highly informative videos on the blues.
