The Country Music Trail, less developed than the Mississippi Blues Trail, is more concentrated in eastern Mississippi state. It is not a journey, as the name suggests, but a set of indications. His red markers point to places of interest in the country music. Jimmie Rodgers (1897-1933), considered the spiritual father of this musical style, was one of the first (with the Carter Family) to record air soon broadcast on all the waves in the country in 1927. It was therefore in Meridian, his hometown, that the first marker was implanted in 2009. At the end of 2016, thirty markers parsemaient the state.
