RUN IN MONT-SAINT-MICHEL / MARATHON DU MONT-SAINT-MICHEL

This is a sign: the Mont-Saint-Michel Marathon is such a major event that it is now sponsored by a mutual insurance company. It must be admitted that the event is majestic: the course starts from Cancale and runs along the sea, moving very little away from the shore. The breathtaking arrival is at the foot of the Mont. Difficult because of the distance of a marathon, the event also has some difficulties, for which you have to be well prepared. The first is the wind. If this one comes from the east, then you will have it in front of you for almost the entire course. The second is psychological - and the mind, when running 42.195 kilometres, is at least as important as the physical. Indeed, during almost the whole course, the Mount will be in the distance, clearly visible. The effort going, it will certainly approach, but, sometimes, the visual impression that you still have of the terrible sufferings to endure because of this Mount which seems not to be so much within walking distance can play tricks on you! Moreover, note that the marathon is the jewel of a weekend of races: half-marathon, 10 kilometers, trail... there is something for every desire, and for every sportsman!
