Located 1.5 km off theisland of Raiatea, in French Polynesia, the Motu de Nao Nao in its lagoon is an island to be completely privatized with preserved nature, spread over 25 hectares. Your stay in paradise is built around three villas and luxury services, with a focus on sustainable development.
An eco-friendly company for VIPs
Motu Nao Nao is managed by South Pacific Management (SPM), which has been committed to promoting local employment and respecting the environment since its founding in 1987. SPM manages two private islands and the Manava Beach Resort & Spa Moorea in French Polynesia and also markets the Nayara Hangaroa hotel on Easter Island. Its teams are committed to preserving water, promoting new energies, using natural and biodegradable cleaning products, recycling waste and treating wastewater.
Ecoconstructions and natural resources
Motu Nao Nao's accommodations have been built with respect for the environment and their operation is organized to support the local economy. The three beach villas that make up its accommodation offer were designed by local designer Alain Fleurot, an expert in traditional Polynesian construction. The decoration incorporates coral from the island, the frames are made of ironwood from Motu, the terraces are made of Burmese teak, and the steps alternate between mahogany and white stone. By focusing on the sustainability of natural resources, the construction of these villas, perfectly integrated into the landscape, uses local know-how.
Valuing Polynesian culture
For SPM, social responsibility is a fundamental value. Motu Nao Nao is committed not only to preserving and protecting the planet for the future, by minimizing its environmental footprint, but also to respecting and valuing the Polynesian people and their culture. Even though you will have all the comforts, facilities and services of the highest quality, you are invited to live the Polynesian way, close to nature, in beneficial contemplation and peace. Enjoying the waters of the lagoon and the fish caught the same day contributes to this quality of life. You will also have the opportunity to discover the richness of the local culture.
Tropical Gastronomy
You will be served fresh and colorful cuisine, with a particular care for the presentation. The plates, like works of art, highlight the local flowers and fruits. You will discover the delights of Polynesian cuisine thanks to Motu Nao Nao's private chef who oversees a menu that is renewed daily. Most ingredients are locally sourced. Vegetables are organic, fruit juices are fresh, coconut is grated daily, and many wild ingredients are harvested on the island in a responsible and ethical manner.
