Opening hours Hong-Kong 香港
Enjoying yourself Hong-Kong 香港
Most restaurants open around 11am for lunch and serve until around 3pm. They reopen around 6pm for dinner and serve until 9-10pm. Lunch times can be very busy, especially in office areas like Central and Admiralty. However, the service is very fast, and you don't have to wait long at the table, so things generally go quite quickly. On the whole, with canteens and street-food stalls, you'll find something to eat in Hong Kong at any hour. In fact, your meals will be taken a little earlier than in France. Between 6.30am and 8am for breakfast, 11.30am and 12.30pm for lunch and 6pm and 7pm for dinner. Most restaurants close their kitchens at 9pm.
Take a break Hong-Kong 香港
In Hong Kong, most cafés open between 8am and 9am and close between 6pm and 10pm. Bars, on the other hand, often start welcoming customers from 5pm and can stay open until 2 or 3am, especially at weekends. Most bars and cafés remain open every day. Happy hours are very popular and usually take place from 5pm to 8pm, offering discounts on drinks and attracting an after-work crowd. Weekends can be particularly busy, especially in lively areas like Lan Kwai Fong (LKF) and Soho. Some establishments are obviously more popular than others, but on the whole it's rare to have to queue.

Shoppingmalls are open from 10am to 10pm, 7 days a week, including public holidays. Independent stores generally open a little later, around 11am or noon, and close around 9pm. Some street markets, such as Ladies Market in Mong Kok or Temple Street Night Market, open in the afternoon and stay open until 11pm or midnight.
Closing time. Stores don't usually have a weekly closing day. With the exception of a few small family-run boutiques or stores in more local areas, which may be closed on Sundays. At Chinese New Year, it's more common to see independent stores closed for a few days in a row.
Peak shopping times. Peak shopping times are usually between 12 and 2pm (during lunch breaks) and after 6pm, when people leave work. At weekends, shopping centers and popular shopping areas are very busy.

Nightclubs generally open around 10-11pm and stay open until 3am-4am, or even later, especially at weekends. They start to fill up around 1am. Karaoke bars are also popular and open all night. For cozier evenings, there's also a good selection of jazz clubs with live bands.
Happy hours are less frequent in clubs than in bars. However, some nocturnal establishments may offer free-flow drinks, with unlimited drinks for a limited time at a fixed price.
Here are the districts with the liveliest nightlife:
Lan Kwai Fong (LKF). This is the emblematic party district of Hong Kong. Here you'll find numerous clubs and bars that fill up very quickly, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, with both Hong Kongers and expatriates.
Soho. A little more chic and less intense than LKF, with lounges and clubs for a more sophisticated atmosphere.
Tsim Sha Tsui (TST). On the Kowloon side, TST offers a varied nightlife, with rooftop clubs offering magnificent views over Victoria Bay. It's more popular with locals than expatriates.
Wan Chai. Known for its local bars, Wan Chai is also home to lively clubs that attract a mixed crowd of expats and locals. In our opinion, the atmosphere can be a little gloomy in places.
