GOLD COAST MANSIONS
In addition to its beautiful beaches where east coast surfers regenerate, Long Island also houses the famous Gold Coast Mansions, scattered on the north coast of the island, also known as the "Gatsby House", referring to the very rich character of F. Scott Fitzgerald's eponymous novel published in 1925. The Gatsby Le Magnificent book is indeed a photograph as much as a criticism of millionaires who had settled in the 1920 s on Gold Coast, in Long Island, to build sumptuous, extravagant, and overcrowded houses where the craziest New York jet parties took place. The architectures of these buildings are very varied and correspond to the whims of their rich owners: French-style castle way, majestic colonial house in the south of the United States, or English castle. Not at all profitable for their maintenance cost, abandoned by some of their owners after the 1929 stock market crash, most of these homes were shaved. But there are still some that testify to a certain bling-up of the 1920 s!
