Like every year the web team of Le Petit Futé has dedicated itself to test a new activity in the capital. This time we tried an activity not really like the others... A crazy quiz in the Quiz Room of Paris. To your buzzers, we share with you our experience!
What is Quiz Room?
Quiz Room is a Parisian brand that offers an innovative concept. An activity adapted to families, groups of friends or colleagues in team building. Quiz Room is a good answer if you are short of weekend activities or if you simply want to let go after work. The result is a lot of fun and laughter!
Identifying a personality in a photo, recognizing a band, completing a movie line, or answering questions worthy of Burger Quiz... it's really worth testing! You will have to use your neurons a little and above all not let yourself be distracted by the scenery if you want the first place on the podium.
A Quiz like no other...
When we arrived, we were greeted by Charles from the Quiz Room team. Nice and welcoming, he immediately put us in the mood.
After explaining very clearly the concept and the rules of the game, Charles invited us to enter the Quiz Room and there, wow! An impressive room, entirely blue, with yellow illustrations and the name of the sign that dominates the room.
The Quiz Room is furnished with six game desks, all equipped with four buzzers and a screen displaying the quiz questions and answers
We decided to go for an intermediate difficulty level and were also able to choose the themes of the questions asked for the game. Themes like "Music", "Daily Life", "Sports"... We incorporated them all. We formed six teams of two and go!
More motivated and focused than ever, each team was determined to win. During the first few questions, we martyred the poor buzzers; they became a weapon of war!
As the game progressed, the masks came off and we knew what strategy to use with the types of players we had in front of us. From that point on, the jokers became our best friends
Three main types of players emerged during the game
- The educated but not very strategic players...
- The sneaky players (Kiril and Alice, you're busted!)
- The cultured and strategic players (the most dangerous... isn't it Louis and Guillaume ?)
Some of the jokers are not the most loyal players, but we don't care! Tricks and tricks are welcome at Quiz Room.
One of the jokers, for example, allows you to steal an opponent's answer. So it's not just about answering questions, it's also about getting hold of the right players and making sure they're no better than our team: destabilization, by any means necessary!
Some lost all their points, others didn't gain many, and then others gained, then lost, then regained: the ranking is never stable. Several challenges are added to the game, and this is what makes it so exciting!
The light effects, the music and the board immersed us more and more in the Quiz Room universe during the game. And at the end, we said to ourselves that Nagui was the only one missing to be on a real TV set! And still... A female voice plays the role of the host and accompanied us throughout the game with a humorous tone that made many laugh!
Good to know, the questions can be personalized. All you have to do is prepare your list of questions and send it to the Quiz Room team. Perfect for a team building, an EVG or an EVJF to let some private jokes slip between friends, which will allow you to have a tailor-made experience!
To conclude
At the crossroads between the board game, a TV set and the escape game for its immersive side, we quickly get into the game. The tension rises between the teams but always in a good mood. Quiz Room thus offers a new innovative activity to all Parisians who want to have fun in an original setting while spending a great time with their loved ones.
