Starting at the town hall, carnival artists and troupes of all kinds liven up this colourful parade!
The Paris Carnival parade departs from the Hôtel de Ville, passing through Gambetta, Belleville, République and Hôtel de Ville most frequently. Many of the creations come from workshops in various Parisian neighbourhoods. Artists, street theatre companies, urban jugglers, funk bands, puppeteers, clowns, batucadas, circus performers, carnival troupes and more enliven the parade. Even if you don't dress up, you'll still be able to watch the parade, usually with amusement.
