Every year, as the end of the year approaches, tourists and Parisians alike come to admire the Christmas illuminations, especially those on the Champs-Élysées. They brave the cold and stroll between Place de la Concorde and the Arc de Triomphe. The programme features enchanting colours, luminous arches, multicoloured bulbs, glowing flames and sparkling projections. The enchantment begins in November and lasts until early January.

Le marché de Noël qui se tient en bas de Champs Elysées est très grand, avec des stands très variés. On peut y déguster des spécialités culinaires de toutes les régions françaises (et même exotiques), faire un tour de manège, acheter des décorations de Noël et bien entendu trouver des idées de cadeaux originales. Le petit village "restauration" est très sympathique, il permet à chacun de choisir son stand et de se retrouver sur une table au milieu pour manger.
