Timetable
In Eivissa, along the marina, every evening, small stalls set up and offer jewellery, paintings and various souvenirs. In Es Canar, the Hippie Market is held every Wednesday, while in Sant Carles, the Las Dalias market, which is certainly the most exotic, opens its doors on Saturdays. There is also a Saturday morning flea market in Sant Jordi and a Sunday morning market in Sant Joan where you can find temporary stalls selling handicrafts, food products, local and organic cosmetics.
Budget & Tips
In terms of crafts and clothing, the offer is very diverse! There are more shops in Eivissa than in the rest of the island, especially for AdLib fashion, which is resolutely Mediterranean, simple and elegant. Small craft and hippy markets are also set up in the most touristy places and sometimes offer great deals and unique items. In terms of gastronomy, Ibiza is full of delights: wines, olive oils and dried fish, ensaimadas, sobrassada and hierbas d'Ibiza, naturally.
Sales
In Ibiza, as in the rest of Spain, the sales last twice two months: the winter sales take place from the beginning of January to the beginning of March, the summer sales from the beginning of July to the beginning of September.
Tourist traps
As in most countries, many souvenirs are unfortunately made in Asia. The fake souvenirs are legion in many shops. Some market stalls also offer products that are sometimes excessively expensive compared to their real value! So make sure you buy local and authentic to encourage the local economy.
