FÊTE DE LA SAINT-JEAN (SANT JOAN)
Go there and contact
A great pagan festival, Midsummer's Day celebrates the arrival of summer: large bonfires, firecrackers and fireworks punctuate the evening.
Midsummer's Day (Sant Joan in Catalan) is by far the most popular festival in the archipelago, indeed in all the territories where Catalan is spoken. On this occasion, the towns and villages host fireworks displays organised by the municipalities, but it is also a moment of vaguely anarchic joy where firecrackers fly in all directions! People gather on the beach to party... until the early hours of the morning for the most courageous!
