Time difference Formentera
There is no time difference between France and the Balearic Islands: Spain and France share the same meridian.
Opening hours Formentera
To see / To do Formentera
The few museums and cultural institutes on the island are generally open from 10am and close between 7pm and 9/22pm depending on the season and the establishment. Some of them take a break from 2pm to 4/5pm.
Enjoying yourself Formentera
In Formentera, as in the rest of Spain, meal times are spread out throughout the day. In the evening, the restaurants fill up around 10pm, and often the customers will have had a drink and some tapas beforehand, and start their meal in the restaurant later. Dining out is common; in Formentera, people like to eat out. When they choose to dine at home, residents sit down at the table around 9pm and like to have a drink to finish the evening with friends. Generally speaking, Spanish hours are the norm for dining on the island, with service generally provided from 1pm to 4pm and from 8pm to midnight. However, some seasonal establishments adapt to people from more northern regions who are used to eating earlier. However, restaurants open from midday are not commonplace!
Take a break Formentera
The few bakeries, cafeterias and ice cream shops on the island are generally open all day, until about 8pm, a little later for the ice cream shops. However, there is no set rule here and to avoid going out in vain, it is better to make a quick phone call. Bars generally open their doors around 7-8pm and close around 2am, or even 3am for some

There are several summer markets on the island. Here they are:
La Savina. The market of La Savina settles on the port during the high tourist season. You can find everything there! Not bad for a stroll before taking the ferry (from July to early September).
Sant Francesc Xavier. The market of Sant Francesc invades the pedestrian streets of the village centre (from May to October, every day from 10am to 2pm). There is also a second-hand market in the "Jardí de Ses Eres", behind the church of Sant Francesc, on Tuesdays and Saturdays all year round.
Sant Ferran. On the promenade of Carrer Major, the Sant Ferran art market brings together artists from all over the world to exhibit their works of art inspired by the essence of the island (from May to October, every day except Wednesday and Sunday, from 8.30 pm to midnight). There is also a craft market three days a week in Sant Ferran (May to October, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 8.30 pm to midnight).
Es Pujols. The hippy market in Es Pujols takes place on the promenade every evening during the summer (May to September, every day from 8pm to midnight).
La Mola. The craft market of La Mola is the only market on the island where the exhibitors are all real craftsmen/artists. It is the most important and busiest market on Formentera. Concerts enliven the central square paved with multicoloured mosaics (from May to October, on Wednesdays and Sundays, from 4 to 10 pm). There is free parking on site for the many summer visitors!
Get out Formentera
As much as Ibiza is a party island, Formentera is not particularly nocturnal. Naturally, summer brings its share of events and parties, but these usually take place within the hours of the bars and restaurants, lasting at most until 1am, perhaps a little longer for some establishments.
