This is the "Day of Majorca", which commemorates the oath taken by King James II in 1276 to the Charter of the Kingdom of Majorca.
La Diada de Mallorca corresponds to "Mallorca Day", which commemorates the oath sworn by King James II in 1276 to the charter of the Kingdom of Mallorca. For over a week, numerous concerts and conferences take place, as well as a whole range of activities, mainly in the Palma area: Latin sailing regatta, slingshot competition, trotting race at the Son Pardo racecourse. Prizes and distinctions are also awarded to Mallorcans who have distinguished themselves during the year (art, culture, etc.).
