THE SLAB OF DEFENSE
Go there and contact
It is a vast pedestrian area of 30 ha (1.5 km long) around which the buildings of the Defense District are distributed. Under this slab are parkings on seven levels, railway tracks, motorways… On the surface, you cannot miss to visit an open-air museum showcasing the monumental works of major artists of the twentieth century. To discover in particular: Alexander Calder's Stabile, a huge red spider (15 m high, 75 tons), the Thumb of Caesar (12 m height, 18 tons) or the Characters of Miró (12 m high); blue, yellow and red, this strange polyester resin duo marks the entrance of the Four Times.
