Five days in early July with some of the biggest names on the rock scene: Arctic Monkeys, Gojira, Metallica... 40 km from Athens. Shuttles available.
Founded in 1996, this annual rock festival features international headliners such as Arctic Monkeys, Gojira, Metallica, Placebo, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden... Attracting over 15,000 spectators a night, it takes place at the Terra Vibe Park in Malakasa, along the Athens-Thessalonica freeway, with shuttle buses departing from Larissa station in Athens. At the end of June, the pre-festival Rockwave Nights is held at the Lycabette Theatre in Athens, featuring local heavyweights such as Pix Lax, Rotting Christ and Alkinoos Ioannidis.
