Opened in 1965 as a family business and then acquired in 1976 by the South Australia government, the National Motor Museum in Birdwood houses more than 300 models of motor vehicles (cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles). There are some models like a Peugeot Type 17 of 1897, a De Dion-Type E button of 1900, a Ford Model T of 1921, a Chevrolet Standard Sedan of 1937, a Datsun 260 Z of 1976….and many others.
