When to go Hérault ?
The Hérault never sleeps! Throughout the year, the small villages and large towns imagine, organise and host numerous events based on sport, culture and tradition. One look at the department's agenda is enough to understand that it is impossible to be bored. It must be said that with the facilities available and the diversity of the outdoors, artists and sportsmen have plenty to enjoy. Pleasures that they share with their audiences.
Between the sea and the mountains, the Hérault has a contrasting climate, of the Mediterranean type, mild and sunny on the coast. The mountainous areas in the west have a marked oceanic influence, while in the north, there is a continental influence. Rainfall is more intense in the hinterland than on the coast and abundant in autumn. Snow is rare in the Hérault, except from 600 m. The proximity of the sea moderates the extremes: less frost in winter, less heat wave in summer.
