This event is held every year in a wine village of the department and it allows to honour producers who perpetuate a true Moselle tradition, that of wine growing. It should be noted that Moselle has been producing wine since Roman antiquity and that, if it is not as famous as other French territories, it is because of the dreaded phylloxera crisis at the beginning of the 20th century. However, since 2010, the Moselle vineyards have had an AOC label and are slowly but surely being reborn. The Fête des Vins therefore allows a few dozen winegrowers to display their best drinks and to highlight a heritage that should be passed on to the younger generations. Also, the latter will be able to take advantage of the numerous activities and some hikes set up around the wine world.
