The Wendel Carreau Mine Museum aims to publicize the region's coal heritage and trace the daily life of minors. To do this, the museum has set up an educational and exciting course! First, we go on a small train, like the miners once, to go to the mine entrance. There a fluorescent route presents the basement of the region and the operating wells. Then it's the descent. Two minutes to join the first gallery, and discover a surprising world with the noise of machines, alarm bells…. It's mine, nature size. The daily life of a minor, his profession, his anxieties and his sensations, including the diffusion of a film in 3 D, was turned on just before the last site was closed in 2004. A fascinating and captivating visit to not miss.
