If there is a cultural place not to miss it is this one. The CCB, the Cultural Centre of Belém was built on the occasion of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Communities, and opened in 1993. It is located in Lisbon near the palace of Jeronimo and the tower of Belém. He has sheltered major exhibitions (Louise Bourgeois, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Rebecca Horn, Le Corbusier, Paula Rego, Frida Kahlo) and is dedicated to all artistic forms (music, dance, theatre, opera). Theatre for young audiences, concerts, classical or experimental performances, the programming of the CWB is eclectic and international. Place to see, both for its programming, its architecture and its spaces of greenery and relaxation. Recently guided tours are organized to discover the secrets and history of this intriguing building.

Centre Culturel de Belém (CCB- Centre Cultural de Belém) is located between two of the important monuments of Belém: on the left the hieronymite Monastery is (jeronimos monastery) and to the right the Monument to the Discoveries (Padrão dos Descobrimentos).
Facing it, is two large gardens: Jardim de Belém) & Jardim da Praça do Império, where you can admire the fountains and discover the different worlds of the park.
This Centre Culturel is actually the best free museum of Lisbon. In high season, jazz music are played here every thursday evenings when everyone is invited to discover them (Free)!
And during the day, it is enough to sit on the terrace of the small café, enjoy the calm environment of the place and the view over the tagus.
