When to go Gers ?
The Gers offers a mild climate all year round. The beautiful days arrive as early as April, even if they can be cool. Summers are sunny, with little rainfall. But it can be very hot, with at least one scorching episode during the summer. The thermometer then happily exceeds 35°C. The off-season is without a doubt the most pleasant and a great time for hiking. Winters are rainy and gray, snowy or freezing episodes are rare.
The Gers is at the confluence of oceanic and somewhat Mediterranean influences. It is subject to westerly and southeasterly winds called the Autan wind but it is well sunny. The weather in the Gers is rather unfavourable in winter because it rains and it is colder. Early heat brings hail storms every spring. Temperatures vary on average in the low season between 4°C and 10°C and between 15°C and 28°C in the high season.
