This region is the Christmas region par excellence and every year, from the end of November, the towns and villages light up and dress up to welcome everyone to their Cristkindelmarkt (Christmas market): stalls filled with lights, baubles, santons, decorations, sweets and love apples... not forgetting the mulled wines that are welcome when the thermometer goes down!
