Charming,and beautiful location. Walking distance to many attractions, rooms are clean and comfortable. We stayed in 103 deluxe suite. Highly recommended.

A great place just outside the walls of the old city. The only problem we had was that there is so much to do at QBeds, convincing the kids to leave and actually see the city became a challenge.

Une nuit infernale. Dans ces “boites de sardines”, impossible de dormir. Nous sommes en plein hiver et il fait un chaleur suffocante dans les chambres. Je n’ai pas fermé l’œil.

I really enjoyed this place. I was originally scared reading all the 1 star reviews after I had booked the place but once we I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised!!! I booked a deluxe queen room. The room was old but was very CHARMING and CLEAN. The bathroom had a couple of warped trims but was also very clean. The hotel location was incredible, I left the car at their parking all weekend (25$/night). A walk away from all the restaurants, bars and the historical part of town...with more restaurants and bars!!! The price is also reasonable considering the amazing location. The staff was also very friendly. I recommend this place!!!!

Salle de bain vraiment pas propre. Chambre très petite et malpropre, le matelas très mou et inconfortable. Nous avions réservé 2 nuits. Nous sommes partie,après la 1ere à 6:30 du matin.Vraiment médiocre

We booked this hotel for the winter carnival and we were just down the street from the festival! Close to a lot of the activities and restaurants. Please keep in mind that there is no elevator and the parking is very limited in the back. We managed to get a parking spot the following morning as people had checked out, but there is paid underground parking beside the hotel (concord). The 2 double bed room was big and had a mudroom which was helpful with all the snow gear. The room and washroom was older and outdated, but we weren't too concerned about that since we were out for most of the day. There was a mini fridge in our room, and on the main floor, there was a microwave and a vending machine. Staff was friendly and quick. Checking in and checking out was done quickly. We called reception once to replenish some things, and they were able to address it faster than we even expected it.

The location was perfect for Carnaval. The room was clean and spacious. Couldn't find parking near the hotel but we found parking at a nearby hotel for $25 a day. The hotel had wifi, TV, the english channel is 614. We had a mini fridge and a nice bathroom. My only wish was that the staff knew a little more about Carnaval events such as the parade... but otherwise a great experience and I would definitely stay here again!

Don't let the staged photos or glamorous wording on their website fool you.  Their borderline promotional lies are meant to draw you in, and before you know it, it's too late.  And by too late, I mean they will charge your credit card before you even get in your room!

Be amazed at the location of their ample parking area.  Situated in a sketchy back alley beside the overflowing dumpsters and fire escapes, you will be delighted to learn that the parking is exclusive to only eight cars on a first-come, first-served basis.  And if you're one of the lucky few to enjoy a parking spot, you will be even more delighted to find out these limited spots are only $25 each!

Make sure you pack light cause if you are on the third floor, you must pull your suitcase up six flights of Victorian-era stairs.  The whole place has a lovely New York slum apartment feel to it.  It's also nice to be able to pay almost $200 a night for a place that looks like a hostel.  It's pleasant to feel like a peasant for a change.  I mean, isn't it nice when the shower has commercial bathroom soap dispensers for your shampoo and conditioner!?

If you're lured in by their advertisements of whirlpool baths and gas-fired fireplaces, you won't be disappointed! That is if you don't expect your bath to whirl or your fireplace to use gas.  In fact, the fireplace fan will probably sound like a dentist's drill, so you can really relax and enjoy your stay.

And speaking of relaxing stays, you will be pleased to know that the next-door neighbor is a bar with extra loud speakers, some of which are even installed outside.  The high-paced tempo of the subwoofers will gently rock you to sleep.  And don't worry, the music won't stop until 2 or 3 in the morning.

Don't forget that once you cross the creaking floors to your bed, you can then finally unwind by watching some cable TV.  That's right, they have all 10 of the finest basic channels for your viewing pleasure.

At least they have a microwave.  And yes, it works.  You can tell it works because it sounds like a lawn tractor trudging along up a hill.

So I give zero stars out of 10, do not recommend, and will not be coming back.

Très bonne auberge. Bien placée, propre. Les lits sont confortables et les dortoirs bien équipés. Nous avons passé une excellente nuit!

Lovely boutique hotel. Our suite had everything we needed and the smart toilet was definitely a highlight lol! Clean, cozy and well located. Service, although virtual, was impeccable. Would highly recommend staying here!

I stayed here from 30th to 4th and really liked the place. Its cozy, big and has enough restrooms. The number of times the hostel staff said ‘no big deal’ to my requests (like getting an extra key because I locked myself out????) was amazing. A really professional and content set of people working here. Keep it up, you guys set a new bar for hostel experience.

great prices but the heater in my bathroom wasnt working so it was freezing.

Be wary of this place being advertised as having parking, it’s only 8 spots that were already all full at 5pm, so you’re stuck having to find public parking further and having to walk back by foot. The rooms also leave a lot to desire with an old bathtub shower, cracked tiles and tiny tv. This place is WAY overpriced, the only good thing is location.

The room we were in (2016) is really outdated and we don’t think this room is qualified to be a hotel room. We checked other reviews and realized most people who reviewed 2 stars stayed in the same wacky room as us (even it was 2 years before us). We seriously think the hotel owner should renovate/ upgrade this room. The advantage of the hotel is location because it is pretty close to Old Quebec area, other rooms might be better based on what other posted, but if you are unlucky to be given the same room as us, you would also feel really disappointed-same as us. It could be a compromise for someone who just look for a 1 night stay. The room is very old, bathroom has mold, cracked on the floor and shower tiles. The toilet is awkwardly short. The furnitures are all very old. The heater is unpredictable, we felt so cold and realized the room was not heated, we asked for help, and the receptionist tried to help us out, the heater is turned on, but took 2 hours to only heat up the room from 12.5 C to 18C. It was almost midnight, we could not wait longer, so we went back to the reception to realize reception is closed from 23:00-7:00am next day. We called their provided emergency number, the guy came after 10mins, he said the hotel was full so he cannot exchange room for us, he ended up giving us a mini heater to plug in. We were lucky that they had an empty spot for us to park our car at the hotel- the charge is 25cad. They don’t have enough parking for all so we saw others need to park nearby. Hence, they said we are only allowed to park from when we check in 4:00pm until 12:00pm next day, it’s not a 24 hours parking like other hotel we had experience with. I don’t think the employees have any issue, the issue is the facility itself.

Location is great. Old town center of Quebec, surrounded by bars, restaurants , café. Min walk to all the attractions.

Room and facilities are not so good. Very loud noise from vent, fridge, or neighbor next door speaking, taking shower etc. WiFi is not usable from the room I'm in.

I had hoped to give a five-star rating to Hotel Ophelia, because it is a great little boutique hotel in a wonderful location in Quebec City. We spent 2 evenings there at the beginning of December to enjoy the holiday season and Christmas Markets. The city, as always, was beautiful, and the Christmas market was festive and lovely. The hotel is located in a chic part of the city, walking distance to the old town in the heart of the restaurant and evening life area of the Grande Allee. Our room was superb in every way—large, comfortable, cool, modern…a real treat. The only slight drawback is noise from the bar/restaurant below late in the evening, but even that was worth the charm of the location. The problem we had was the reservation—which was originally made for three nights, then was changed (via telephone call) about a month later to two nights, and this did not seem to get updated in their system . Because this is run more as an Airbnb rather than a traditional hotel, there is no attendant available, and communicating via phone or email from the US was challenging, as the messages were all in French. In any case, we could only stay two days but were charged for three. We did notify Ophelia of this discrepancy, but they have not corrected, because we did not have proof of the change in writing. So, wonderful place, but make sure you communicate clearly and check any emails with details. I think it is a shame they did not refund us for the third night, and unfortunately will not stay there again because of this.

Super auberge. On manque un peu de place surtout si on est malchanceux (comme moi) et qu’on hérite des toutes petites couchettes du bas, coincées entre 2 lits… ça m’a valu une belle dorsalgie très handicapante pour mon trip,
Sinon trop bien, elle se situe à côté de tout…

Au départ venu passé 2 semaines le temps d'avoir un appartement, j'y ai finalement passé 3mois tant j'en suis devenu amoureux.
Staff très souriant et serviable
Réception ouverte toute la journée avec un responsable de disponible en tout temps
Gardé propre quotidiennement
Sécuritaire, il arrive que des clients se montrent problématique, mais le staff s'occupe toujours de régler les incidents à temps
Ambiance chaleureuse propice aux nouvelles rencontres

Petit point négatif, en haute saison il y a souvent des partés au bar du rdc, le 2eme étage n'est donc pas le meilleur pour se reposer de bonne heure
Mais pour les plus fêtard le staff du bar est tout aussi digne de qualités
