South River offers a wide variety of facilities for the whole family, including a skating rink with year-round ice, curling clubs, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, a library, a daycare center, a Royal Canadian Legion, a women's resource center and a seniors' home. South River is also home to Ontario's premier sports camp, Hockey Opportunity Camp, the renowned Bear Chair Co., Swift Canoes and Kayaks and the South River Brewing Company.
