VERDON SPLENDOURS

Since prehistoric times, man has shaped the landscape of a difficult land that has never been a land of abundance. Seen from the Valensole plateau, the Sainte Croix lake offers a beautiful and breath-taking panorama. A few kilometres from its 2200 hectares water retention dam is one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France called Moustiers -Sainte- Marie, setup against a cliff and famous in the world for its manufacture of pottery. It is at the crossroads of these deep gorges and lavender plateaus that authentic country restaurants have given the region a deserved gastronomic reputation.
