Great lover of wine before the eternal, my professional activities have often allowed me to take part in tastings organised by oenologists, renowned sommeliers. Not coming from the "Sérail" but a modest gastronome, I often make myself very small and listen with a fierce will to learn this almost incomprehensible jargon of the profession.
I met Franck THOMAS, an eminent MOF sommelier and he invited me to discover the concept of his fun workshops organised around wine.
So I found out last night the Sensory Workshop..
Around a table, about fifteen active and overbooked executives who have taken up precious time to get together in conviviality around a unifying theme: WINE..
So far everything is "normal", we drink a few bubbles to relax, small "bucal jacuzzi" as the owner nicely mentions it!
And then Franck THOMAS informs us that he is going to "unlearn" us to taste wine!
So now I'm thinking, damn it in my little blonde head, which has aggregated all these years the vocabulary used by the initiates!
Here, it's time for instinct, for a totally innovative approach to wine. The common denominator is conviviality, sharing ... we blindfold ourselves and taste with our taste buds, smell with our nose and describe spontaneously what we feel without any taboo or tongue-in-cheek.
It's simply MAGIC!
